PROJECT MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

CYBER SECURITY ARCHITECT 
TORRANCE, CA

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide advice, guidance and expertise to promote adoption of methods and tools and adherence to cyber policies and standards. Evaluate and select appropriate methods and tools in line with agreed policies and standards.

  • Contribute to cyber security standards development and facilitates improvements to processes by changing approaches and working practices, typically using recognized models.

  • The design and assurance of IT systems to meet cyber security requirements, balancing this with functional requirements.

  • Verification of systems and processes meet the specified security requirements and that processes to verify on-going compliance are in place.

  • Lead on cyber security aspects of systems development and integration to function.

  • methodology, findings and conclusions. Collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative cyber security data as required. Create research reports to communicate research

  • Continually seek opportunities for functional level improvement.

  • Manage risks associated with their area of specialization within the cyber security discipline.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in CS/EE/IT or related field

  • 5+ years experience working in an IT function with internal and external service providers

  • Knowledge of cyber security capabilities, techniques, tactics and procedures

  • Experience in IT toolsets, current practices, market offerings and trends and the impact on cyber threats and attack vectors

  • Understanding of cyber security infrastructure technologies, their implementation and configuration

  • Industry certification (e.g. CISSP, CISM, SABSA, TOGAF)

  • Experience working within regulated industries, such as healthcare or government classified information

  • Knowledge of and experience working within Architectural and life cycle frameworks

  • Strong project management skills (to include the ability to set and maintain accountability to execution schedules and commitments).

  • Ability to maneuver changing demands, requirements and technology, utilizing both diplomacy and flexibility to balance requirements, technology sustainment, efficiencies, quality and compliance.

  • Completing requirements in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.

  • Knowledgeable about constraints associated with compliance, reporting requirements, upstream/downstream systems.
